Kitchen display
Kitchen Display System
KDS in O.S.S is the kitchen screen: incoming tickets, status buttons, and a live queue. It is not another restaurant-management homepage and not a hardware appliance catalog.
What the kitchen screen does
- Live queue of confirmed tickets
- Pending, cooking and ready
- Updates over the restaurant websocket
- Table number and item lines
- Handoff to waiter and cashier
How a ticket moves on the display
Ticket arrives
After a waiter confirms a QR order, the kitchen display shows the ticket with items, table number and notes.
Cook
Kitchen staff mark pending then cooking. The queue updates on the screen without reprinting paper.
Ready for the floor
Mark ready so waiters can deliver. Cashiers settle after service—the KDS is not the payment screen.
Who looks at the KDS
Kitchen staff
Primary users of the display during service.
Waiter and cashier
Need ready tickets and then settlement. They do not cook from this page.
Who it is for
Restaurants that want a screen instead of paper tickets
A tablet or monitor with a browser is enough. Dedicated KDS appliances are not required.
Put a screen in the kitchen
Create a restaurant account, set the menu, then open the kitchen display on a tablet. The trial does not require a credit card.
Narrow kitchen intent, not a full restaurant platform page
Restaurant management is the connected operations story. Restaurant POS is order-to-cash. This page is only the kitchen queue.
- Restaurant POS Software for Order-to-Cash Service
- Restaurant Management Software for Connected Service
- Browser on a kitchen tablet or monitor
Live status and floor handoff
Tickets move pending → cooking → ready. Waiters deliver; cashiers settle. QR and waiter-confirmed orders share one queue.
- Waiter Ordering System
- Table Ordering System
- Restaurant websocket for live updates
