Restaurant Management Software for Connected Service

Running a restaurant is a handoff: the guest orders, the floor confirms, the kitchen cooks, the cashier settles. O.S.S restaurant management software keeps that chain in one browser workspace—with owner and manager visibility across the shift, not a disconnected point-of-sale terminal.

One service chain

From guest order to owner visibility

  1. Guest order

Guests scan a table QR code and order from the public menu in the browser. No guest app install is required.

  2. Waiter and floor

Waiters confirm incoming QR orders, mark them delivered when the kitchen is ready, and work from assigned tables.

  3. Kitchen

The kitchen display shows the live queue. Staff move tickets from pending to cooking to ready; updates go out over the restaurant websocket.

  4. Cashier

The cashier settles tickets as cash or card and can email a receipt. Split-tender and fiscal-certified receipts are not claimed.

  5. Owner and manager

Owner and manager dashboards show orders, settlements and operational sales totals for the day and period.

Staff roles in the restaurant workspace

  • Owner and manager

Configure menu, tables, staff accounts and review operational analytics from owner and manager dashboards.

  • Waiter

Confirm guest QR orders, deliver ready tickets and cover assigned tables.

  • Kitchen

Run the live kitchen display instead of paper tickets.

  • Cashier

Settle orders, record cash or card, and handle receipt email.

  • Cleaner and bar staff

Restaurant cleaning tasks have their own staff view. Bar staff use a shared order queue—not a separate bar inventory product.

Who it is for

  • Independent restaurants, cafés and bistros

The same restaurant platform serves these venues. Plan tiers change staff limits and analytics access; they are not different products.

  • Standalone restaurant vs hotel restaurant

Register at the restaurant signup to run a standalone venue with cash and card. Hotel restaurants add room charge to an in-house guest folio—that path is hotel F&B, not this standalone product.

Start the restaurant workspace

Create a restaurant account, set menu and tables, then run QR ordering, kitchen display and cashier settlement in the browser. The trial does not require a credit card.

One connected restaurant workflow

O.S.S is restaurant operations software: menu, tables, QR ordering, waiter confirmation, kitchen display, cashier settlement, cleaning tasks, standalone inventory and owner reporting. Transaction-focused POS detail lives on the restaurant POS page.

Order sources: QR and waiter

Guests order from a public QR menu tied to a table number. Waiters confirm those tickets and mark them delivered. The waiter screen is confirmation and delivery—not a separate ticket-building register.

Tables, kitchen and cashier

Managers maintain restaurant tables and waiter table assignments. There is no visual floor-plan designer. Kitchen staff work a live display. Cashiers settle cash or card after service.

Menu, staff and inventory

Managers edit categories, items and availability. Staff accounts map to waiter, kitchen, cashier, cleaner, manager and bar roles. Standalone restaurants can track inventory and recipe-linked stock in restaurant scope.

  • Menu categories and item availability
  • Role-specific staff dashboards
  • Standalone restaurant inventory

Owner visibility and hotel context

Owners and managers see operational revenue and payment-type totals. This is restaurant reporting, not certified accounting. Independent restaurants cannot use room charge; hotel restaurants post room charge to the guest folio on hotel properties.

Frequently asked questions

How do I start with O.S.S restaurant POS?

Create your account at /register-restaurant. Eligible plans include a 14-day free trial with no credit card required. Configure your menu, tables and staff roles from the owner or manager dashboard.

Is O.S.S a cloud-based system?

Yes. O.S.S runs in the web browser on desktop, tablet and phone — no local server installation required.

Is this the same as O.S.S restaurant POS?

They share the same restaurant platform. This page covers the broader operations story—menu, floor, kitchen, cashier, staff and reporting. The restaurant POS page is the transaction and settlement intent page.

Can waiters take orders without QR?

The waiter workspace confirms and delivers orders that enter the restaurant pipeline. Guest QR ordering is the primary guest-facing order source. Authenticated order APIs exist for staff and hotel-guest flows; a full waiter cart builder is not claimed as the standalone waiter screen.

Does O.S.S replace my accountant?

No. O.S.S provides operational restaurant reporting. Formal accounting remains your responsibility or your accountant's tools.

Does O.S.S provide fiscal or tax-certified POS receipts?

O.S.S provides operational POS, settlement and receipt email workflows. Fiscal, tax or legal POS certification depends on your jurisdiction and is not claimed by O.S.S.

Does restaurant management include hotel room charge?

Standalone restaurant registration settles cash and card. Room charge to a guest folio is available on hotel restaurant properties, not on independent restaurant tenants.
