Scan the table
Each table can use a property-specific guest URL that already includes the table number. Guests do not install an app.
Browse and submit
The guest sees categories and items from the same menu managers edit. They add items, optional notes, and place the order with a guest name—no guest account is required.
Waiter confirms
QR orders enter awaiting confirmation. A waiter confirms before the ticket is a kitchen order. Fully autonomous no-waiter service is not claimed.
Kitchen and cashier
After confirm, the kitchen display shows the ticket. Payment is still cashier cash or card after service—not payment at the table on the guest phone.

A QR code opens your restaurant menu in the guest's phone browser with the table number included. Guests choose items, add optional notes and submit with a guest name. The waiter still confirms the order before preparation begins.

A digital menu and an ordering system serve different needs
A digital menu lets guests browse. An ordering system also sends the selected items into a staff workflow. In O.S.S, the menu managers edit is the menu guests use, and submitted tickets continue through waiter confirmation, kitchen preparation and cashier settlement.
Set up one table before rolling out
Add categories, item prices and availability, then create a table and open its guest QR link on a phone. Submit a sample order and verify its table number from the waiter screen. Confirm it, follow preparation in the kitchen and record settlement at the cashier. Only print the remaining table codes after this complete test.

What to check before choosing QR ordering
Ask whether orders require staff confirmation, how unavailable items are handled and where payment happens. O.S.S uses waiter confirmation and cashier cash or card settlement. Guests submit an order from the QR page; they do not pay by card on that page.

How do I start with O.S.S restaurant POS?
Create your account at /register-restaurant. Eligible plans include a 14-day free trial with no credit card required. Configure your menu, tables and staff roles from the owner or manager dashboard.
Is O.S.S a cloud-based system?
Yes. O.S.S runs in the web browser on desktop, tablet and phone — no local server installation required.
Do guests need to log in to order?
Public QR ordering uses a guest name on the order. Full guest accounts are not required for the standard QR table flow.
Can guests pay on their phone at the table?
No. QR ordering submits the ticket. Settlement is cash or card at the cashier. Payment-at-table is not claimed.
Is waiter confirmation required?
